Glenis Yee will join the partnership of Munro Leys with effect from 1 January 2017.
Originally from Lautoka, Glenis is an accomplished commercial lawyer. She holds commerce and law degrees from Bond University in Queensland and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from FINSIA. She is admitted in the New South Wales and Fiji courts.
Glenis has a diverse commercial law background, including as a staff member of the former Fiji Capital Markets Development Authority, in legal practice in Australia and, between 2012 and 2015 as General Manager Legal and Compliance at BSP Life, one of Fiji’s largest financial institutions – as well as two previous stints as a Munro Leys lawyer. At Munro Leys, she advises on real property, foreign investment, business acquisitions and disposals, corporate regulation, capital markets, insurance and contract law.
Since re-joining Munro Leys in 2015, Glenis has advised on and managed a number of significant commercial transactions and has become increasingly involved in the leadership of the firm’s 10-lawyer Commercial Group.
Glenis is a Graduate of the Leadership Fiji 2006 Program and was a student (as a Fiji Water Fellow) of the Aspen Institute in Maryland, United States. She is the current President of the Rotary Club of Suva and a board member of the Chinese Association of Fiji.
This is a time of significant growth in the firm’s work. Glenis is the first of Munro Leys’s next generation of leadership.
