Nehla gained her LLB degree from the University of Tasmania, Australia in 1995 and her LLM in Commercial Law from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 2001. She also holds a degree in Commerce from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.

Nehla worked for Coopers & Lybrand’s Fiji office in the early 1990s before being admitted to the High Court of Fiji in 1996. She worked in the office of Fiji’s Attorney General for many years, handling a wide range of commercial and litigation work, including constitutional and administrative law matters, personal injury and commercial contracts.

She joined Munro Leys in 2004 and works primarily in the Litigation Group on commercial and public law matters and general advisory work on aviation, property and taxation issues.

Nehla was elected Vice-President of the Fiji Law Society in 2004.
