Maria-Goreti gained her law degree from the University of the South Pacific in 2004. She completed her Post Graduate Diploma and was admitted to the High Court in 2005. In the same year she joined the Department of Environment as Legal Advisor in the implementation and enforcement of the Environment Management Act 2005 and other areas of national and international environmental law.

Maria-Goreti works in the Commercial Group of the firm principally in the areas of foreign investment, commercial property, corporate and environment law.
