Munro Leys’s annual Intern Programme is organised in four blocks across the calendar year:

Preference given to applicants from USP’s Professional Diploma in Legal Practice course Preference given to Northern Hemisphere applicants Preference given to applicants from USP’s Professional Diploma in Legal Practice course Preference given to Fiji resident graduates or Fiji students on summer break from overseas universities

The programme is usually limited to only two interns in any one block.

We will expose you to a range of work in our Commercial, Litigation and Intellectual Property teams over the period you work with us.

The internship is unpaid. However we will pay you an honorarium of $100 FJD per week to cover basic subsistence expenses.

What we look for
To apply for an internship at Munro Leys you must be able to display the following minimum attributes:

  • have completed a minimum of two years study towards a law degree (however note that in some blocks preference is given to graduates)
  • have good academic grades
  • have a good all-round record of achievement
  • show yourself to be principled, honest and willing to work hard

and in the case of a non-Fiji citizen, your application is subject to gaining a short-term work permit.

How to apply

Applications for any Block close six weeks before the commencement date of the Block. We will try to notify you not less than four weeks before the commencement date. Subject to this, you may apply at any time to be allocated to a future Block. Early applications are encouraged, because places fill quickly.

Submit an application by clicking on this Internship Application Form and submitting a completed form. You will be asked to upload a cover letter, relevant academic transcripts and a passport sized photo, in addition to providing your details.

Alternatively, (only if you are unable to  submit an online application), you may submit a written application with a transcript of your academic achievements,  the names and contact information for two referees, a passport size photograph together with your preferred dates of placement in a particular block, although those dates are not guaranteed if you are selected.
